Aon Benfield

Aon Benfield is one of the world's leading reinsurance businesses. Formed through the December 2008 merger between Aon Re Global and Benfield, this combination was about bringing together the best in the industry to create a destination of choice for clients.

We were asked to underpin the way the group communicated with strategic clients and particularly in relation to major company pitches.

Aon needed an innovative, cost effective and fast way to create one to one communications for a group of around 400 strategically important clients in locations around the world and we were asked to provide the mechanism to achieve that.

Solution

Working with the special projects team we developed a version of our Vx marketing management system that would provide a design interface that the projects team could manage and control in the development of detailed online pitch portals. These portals needed to operate as bespoke extranets complete with high level technology and security but they needed to be simple to administer and simple to create new versions as and when required.

Vx now controls all aspects of the pitch building process and is the technology behind this global business's ability to pitch for and win new clients.

Results

Clients, prospective clients and staff have all welcomed this technology innovation and the benefits in cost control and flexibility are easy to see. This has given the firm a unique proposition in the market and is helping them position as a creative force in the insurance market.
